ABOUT THE TRUST

Uttar Bangal Maheshwari Sewa Trust was formed on 4" July, 1975 with the initiative of 11 social workers with the aim to establish a community Bhawan, where all types of social and academic activities can be organized. TheTrust purchased the land and commenced construction, which finally was shaped to its originated dreams on 27" April, 1977. Having completed the construction in record time of less than 2 years, the Maheshwari Bhawan was dedicated to the society and since then, the entire community is enjoying its services at a very affordable cost.

In the course of time and with the demand of modern lifestyle, the need of another larger property with state of the art modern facilities was felt. As a proractive initiative, the Trust had laid the foundation stone for another Bhawan, which was dedicated to the society on 10" February, 2002 as Maheshwari Sewa Sadan. This was the then the best social property for organizing any social, academic & cultural activities with all kinds of modern facilities.

Switching towards educational services, the Trust purchased 17 acres of land at Ranidanga in the year of 2004-05. Out of aforesaid property, 5 acres of land was earmarked for the purpose of establishing Uttar Banga Maheshwari College. With the mission of providing quality education at affordable cost, the foundation stone was laid down on 6" May, 2017 and subsequently Uttar Banga Maheshwari College got the affliation on 14°" December, 2022 from University of North; Bengal.
